Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 8, 2026
Overview
This Privacy Policy explains what information Barr Technology Group ("we," "us," or "our") collects through barrtechgroup.com (the "Site"), how it is used, and the choices you have. This policy covers the Site only — it does not cover information exchanged as part of a separate client services engagement, which is governed by the relevant service agreement.
Information We Collect
We keep data collection to what's necessary to run and secure the Site:
- Server logs. Like most websites, our web server automatically records standard technical information for each request — IP address, timestamp, page requested, and browser/user-agent string. This is used only for security, troubleshooting, and understanding basic traffic patterns.
- Information you send us directly. If you email us (for example, at info@barrtechgroup.com), we receive whatever information you include — such as your name, email address, and the contents of your message. We use this only to respond to you.
The Site does not use cookies, does not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers, and does not include any sign-up or data-collection forms.
How We Use Information
- To respond to inquiries sent to us by email
- To maintain the security, integrity, and performance of the Site
- To diagnose technical problems
Sharing of Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade any information collected through the Site. We do not share it with third parties except where required to comply with applicable law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Barr Technology Group or others.
Data Retention
Server logs are retained for a limited period for security and operational purposes and are then automatically rotated and deleted. Emails you send us are retained as long as reasonably necessary to address your inquiry or as required by law.
Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for a general business audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your Choices
Because the Site does not use cookies or tracking scripts, there is no tracking-related opt-out to manage. If you've emailed us and would like your message or information deleted from our records, contact us using the details below.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
SMS Timesheet Program
Barr Technology Group, LLC operates an internal SMS-based time-tracking program for its employees. This section describes how information is handled specifically through that program, in addition to the general Site policy above.
- Information collected. When an enrolled employee sends a text message to our timesheet number, we collect the phone number, message content, and timestamp. This information is used solely to record work hours for internal payroll and client invoicing purposes.
- How we use it. Message data is used only to generate timesheet records and invoices. We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number or message content with third parties for marketing purposes. Message data is shared with our SMS infrastructure provider (Twilio) solely to deliver the service.
- Message frequency. Varies by employee work schedule; typically several messages per work day.
- Message and data rates may apply, per your mobile carrier plan.
- Opt-out. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving/sending messages through this program. Reply HELP for support. You may also contact your employer directly to be removed from the program.
- Eligibility. This program is available only to employees enrolled directly by Barr Technology Group as part of their employment. There is no public sign-up.
